Sharing Spiritual Mysteries of God

All mankind is born with living in that spirit of the flesh: How is that any different from being of that spirit of antichrist. Consider the self-seeking heart of Lucifer as described in Isaiah 14:12-14

(NKJV) "How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, You who weakened the nations! 13 For you have said in your heart: 'I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation On the farthest sides of the north; 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.'

In the genesis of time, all things are created like for like. In other words, dogs back in the genesis of time were all created the same, may be of different color, different sizes, and different personalities, yet a dog that was created in that first seven days of creation, are the same dogs we have today. A dog does not turn into a cat and a cat does not revolve into a squirrel etc. Therefore all mankind, because of sin are born into the sinful nature of Satan. A heart that is focused on self rather than the will of God. From childhood, we have to learn to share. . Then compare that to the self-centeredness of Lucifer that got him removed from heaven.

When we take a close look at the word antichrist, "anti" is defined as being against, resistant, etc. And the word "christ" came from the word messiah, meaning anointed. Therefore, reason confirms that, that spirit of antichrist as mentioned only in 1&2 John is speaking of anyone that is resistant or against the anointing of God in their personal lives and the lives of others. Even though, having a self-seeking heart and having a spirit of antichrist is similar, they are different. Self-seeking is the nature of flesh and something that we need to overcome daily. However having that spirit of antichrist is a decision, a decision not to accept and submit to God through His Holy Spirit. (more to come)

Defining God through Christ: Maybe to better understand and define how a relationship with God works, it is best to first try to view God as defined by Jesus. And I know no one more qualified in doing this other than Jesus and this is how Jesus explained what God is. He said, God is Spirit. It doesn't get any clearer than that! So if we believe Jesus, then lets just take this as fact! God is Spirit.

But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."John 4:23-24 (NKJV)

The apostle John further explained that God being a Spirit, is also, God the Father. As any Father, He communicates His will, which is defined as His Word, and His Word is realized to those that are His, though His Spirit. So God being a Spirit, His Word and His Spirit is the one only true God.

Defining God: For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one. 1 John 5:7 (NKJV)

God the Father: the Father of all life, which are all of those that are in Christ
His Word:is God's precepts, design & will being done, both in heaven and on earth which is communicated through His Spirit His Holy Spirit: God is Spirit, for He has no flesh, never has had. But through His Spirit, His will is recognized by those that are in Christ

As, we know that many people saw Jesus but as the apostle John clarified without confusion, no one has ever seen God. That statement can not be more absolute.

No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us. By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit.1 John 4:12-13 (NKJV) (His presence in us though His Spirit, this is the glory that God gave His Son, Jesus and this is the glory that Jesus gave to those that are His. This indeed is a most precious treasure!)

And the glory of God, that Jesus gives is received through the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Listen closely to the message given through John the Baptist:

And he preached, saying, "There comes One after me who is mightier than I, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to stoop down and loose. I indeed baptized you with water, but He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit." Mark 1:7-8 (NKJV)

Even though, God has given us of His Spirit, it is received through Christ, the anointing that's received through the baptism that's provided through God's only begotten Son, Jesus, our Lord and Savior. And it's through this anointing that Jesus becomes Lord over our everyday living, providing one is willing to submit to the will of God through Christ.

The apostle Paul wrote, But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. 2 Tim 3:13 (NKJV)

Under the anointing of Christ, the apostle Paul knew that evil men appearing godly would twist the gospel of Christ and deceive many. So he gave us verses with absolute meaning so that today we could find clarity in the Scriptures, inspired by God, identifying those in error. This is one of those Scriptures.

yet for us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for Him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and through whom we live. However, there is not in everyone that knowledge 1 Cor 8:6-7 (NKJV) So very true, especially today!!

There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. Eph 4:4-6 (NKJV)

And since we can see that there is only one Spirit, of which God has given us of His Spirit, then we can trust that this one Spirit that Jesus was baptized with is the same Spirit that those in Christ are baptized with. Please take notice how:

how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. Acts 10:38 (NKJV)

And take to heart that those in Christ are anointed with the same Spirit that resurrected Jesus from the dead. Please give this your most sincere consideration.

But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. Romans 8:11 (NKJV) One can clearly see that without Christ in us, there is no eternal life.

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. Romans 8:14 (NKJV)

The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs--heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together Romans 8:16-17 (NKJV)

Have you ever wondered why the apostle Paul used the word "if"? Maybe because, without an obedient heart before God, one can not receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, for God only gives us of His Spirit to those that are willing to obey Him. In this next Scripture, there is no confusion.

And we are His witnesses to these things, and so also is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey Him." Acts 5:32 (NKJV)

Therefore, without obedience there is no presence of God through His Holy Spirit and without His Spirit, there is no truth to build one's personal spiritual foundation in Christ. Bottom line, without the baptism of Christ, there's no eternal life! However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth;John 16:13 (NKJV) Not just biblical truth but the truth in all the things concerning our everyday needs.

Limited learning: being careful, who is our teacher!

A conclusion was made that a deeper message we received from Jesus in the following verse is that none of us can be greater in knowledge than whom is our teacher. In other words, if our Pastor was our only teacher, we could never have a greater understanding than our Pastor. Likewise in any learning facility, we can never have a greater knowledge than whom we listen to. On the surface, this verse seems to be talking about servants and a master but Jesus' message goes much deeper when we consider all the words Jesus spoke.

So when He had washed their feet, taken His garments, and sat down again, He said to them, "Do you know what I have done to you? You call me Teacher and Lord, and you say well, for so I am. If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet. For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you. Most assuredly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master; nor is he who is sent greater than he who sent him. If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them John 13:12-17 (NKJV)

Therefore Jesus instructs us to learn through the Spirit or the anointing of Christ. When we learn through the anointing of Christ, we will be assured of having all the understanding that God has reserved for each of us. Not to say, we can not learn from others, but that we need to take everything an see if it aligns with the understanding we can have from God through Christ.

They love the best places at feasts, the best seats in the synagogues, greetings in the marketplaces, and to be called by men, 'Rabbi, Rabbi.' But you, do not be called 'Rabbi'; for One is your Teacher, the Christ, and you are all brethren. Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven. And do not be called teachers; for One is your Teacher, the Christ. But he who is greatest among you shall be your servant. And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted. But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men; for you neither go in yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in. Matt 23:6-13 (NKJV)

These things I have written to you concerning those who try to deceive you. But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.1 John 2:26-27 (NKJV)

Wonderful things happen when Christ is our teacher. In doing so, we allow Christ Jesus to be manifested in our life, as we enjoy a relationship with God through Christ. Very importantly, we have access to "all truth" that is revealed through the anointing of the Holy Spirit of God, through Christ. And for certain, on that Day of Judgment, Jesus will not be telling us, that He does not know us! Through Christ, we can experience the Glory of God, in us!

Christ, Our Teacher: Todays discussion focused on the original meaning of the word "christ" and how it may of been intended to be used biblically. Consider the following words of Jesus in this Scripture:
They make their phylacteries broad and enlarge the borders of their garments. Matt 23:5-10 (NKJV)

Please notice that in the bible, the word "Christ" is sometimes used before the name Jesus, in some verses the word Christ follows the name Jesus and sometimes the word Christ is used alone. I believe there is a very good reason for this and I feel the following is good reasoning as to why. Word Origin & History, messiah: c.1300, Messias, from L.L. Messias, from Gk. Messias, from Aramaic meshiha and Heb. mashiah "anointed" (of the Lord), from mashah "anoint." This is the word rendered in Septuagint as Gk. Khristos (see Christ). In O.T. prophetic writing, it was used of an expected deliverer of the Jewish nation. The modern Eng. form represents an attempt to make the word look more Heb., and dates from the Geneva Bible (1560). Transf. sense of "an expected liberator or savior of a captive people" is attested from 1666. Online Etymology Dictionary, © 2010 Douglas Harper Cite This Source

Messiah definition: (Heb. mashiah), in all the thirty-nine instances of its occurring in the Old Testament, is rendered by the LXX. "Christos." It means anointed. Thus priests (Ex. 28:41; 40:15; Num. 3:3), prophets (1 Kings 19:16), and kings (1 Sam. 9:16; 16:3; 2 Sam. 12:7) were anointed with oil, and so consecrated to their respective offices. The great Messiah is anointed "above his fellows" (Ps. 45:7); ....Bible Dictionary - http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/Messiah

Yes Jesus is the Christ but the word christ itself means anointed. I think this is important in better understanding of verses like “Christ died for us”

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8 (NKJV)

I'm not saying to delete Jesus out of these verses for He's very much a part of these verses however what I'm trying to point out is, that when, in this Svcripture, the word Christ is used alone, there is a richer understanding. You see, in seeking for a deeper understanding of Roman 5:8, go back to what Jesus cried out, as He was dying, being sacrifice for us. Listen to what He cried out! ...My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?"

We can see that at that moment, the presence of God, His God and Father, the anointing of God through God's Holy Spirit, was no longer with Him as He was dying for our sins. I believe, at that moment, He was very much alone, apart from God, in all that horrific suffering. Please consider a deeper understanding in verses, such as:

Example: 2 Corinthians 13:3. since you seek a proof of Christ speaking in me, who is not weak toward you, but mighty in you

Consider: since you seek a proof of Christ’s anointing speaking in me, who is not weak toward you, but mighty in you

Another example: 2 Corinthians 13:5. Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?--unless indeed you are disqualified

Consider: Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus’ anointing is in you?--unless indeed you are disqualified

Christ in us: But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him. 1 John 2:27.
What is this anointing other than Christ in us! The Spiritual anointing of God’s Holy Spirit in us!

Yes, Jesus is our Messiah, the Christ. But there is more, this glory, that Jesus' God and Father gave to Him, He also gave to those that are His, which is “the anointing” of God's Holy Spirit, God's presence in us.

The promise of Christ, the glory of God, in us: And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one. John 17:22.

What a treasure! The presence of God that Jesus was anointed with,(Act 10:38) He gave us so we could be reconciled with God our Father, however, Jesus had to do one thing first so this could happen and that was to sacrifice His life for our sinful flesh and after He had accomplished , when He had sacrificed His live, He said, “it is finished”. He'd prepared a place for us, in our relationship with God through Christ. Now anyone, if they so desire, can live each day in this same anointing, enjoying the same presence of the Father as Jesus experienced from the beginning of time. For the ones that do not believe this, then this is not the case with them. For they are antichrist.

Anti: against or resistant      Christ: the anointing
Antichrist: Those that are against or resistant to the anointing of God. Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us. But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things. 1 John 2:18-20 (NKJV)

On that Day of Judgement, those found with an antichrist heart, possibly the ones that Jesus will say, depart from me, I never knew you, will of had little to no desire in seeking for the presence of God in their everyday lives. Similiar to those spoken of in the above Scripture, as they'd rather seek for their own desires and pleasures, rather than seeking and doing the will of God.

What does "Pentecost" and the "Promise of the Father" mean to each of us?

Discussion today included the mystery of how anyone could experience a one on one relationship with God and yet, with the others that are in Christ, across the world, could also be experiencing the same rich relationship with God through Christ, all at the same time. This is indeed a mystery of how God is manifested to each through the same Holy Spirit of God. Discussion also included how the display of tongues, was proof that salvation was for all nations and nationalities as the bible testifies that each heard the wonderful works of God in their own languages. Then the question came up, can some of our bad thoughts come from Satin and also be having good thoughts that came from God? We then ran out of time, and I'm hoping to hear more comments on this on facebook/Spiritual Mysteries.

The Promise of the Father as recorded in the Old Testimant, given through the prophet Joel and quoted nearly word for word, by the apostle Peter, on that Day of Pentecost clearifying to all that that Promise had been given and was being fulfilled before them all.
'And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh;Acts 2:17(NKJV)
That Day was the beginning day of the Church of our Lord Jesus Christ! Truly a Day to be celebrated today by all that call on His name!!

Fellowship with God through Christ

Think about it! It is so awesome that He has chosen our bodies, each of us in the body of Christ, as residence for His Holy Spirit. Consider verses like: But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.1 Corinthians 6:17. If this sounds good to you, then this Spiritual Mysteries Fellowship is going to be a pleasant and rewarding adventure and is especially for you. This type of fellowship may not be for everyone but for those that are willing to commit, with a submissive heart, expecting to hear from the Lord, this will become be very special fellowship.

The Joy and Peace that's Found in Learning

There is joy, when we realize that we have learned something in the presence of the Lord. It is also joyful to share in that revelation with others. What also is really unique and spiritually rewarding is the spiritual growth that can be realized in this environment, not to mention the confidence that is experienced when we better recognize the presence of the Lord in our lives. There's such an incredible blessing found in God's grace and love, for He will take us where we're at, with all our baggage, the good and the not so good and begin repairing our lives according to His will and purpose. God has a special purpose for each of us that is sincerely interested in being included in the gifts that He has provided especially for the body of Christ.

Living by faith, in Christ:

Today, we're so Spiritually blessed! Jesus promised that God would provide all truth through His Holy Spirit which was accomplished through the provisional sacrifice of Christ and fulfilled on that Day of Pentecost. "However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth;....John 16:13.
Today we have so much more than what the prophets of God had in the Old Testament. We still have the Old Testament Scriptures as they did, but today we also have the New Testament Scripture, examples of how the early church was discplined in Christ, and combined with God's promised indwelling Holy Spirit, we are so blessed and without excuse. God has provided truth, in all things, to anyone that's willing to seek for them.

The Condition of the Heart is all about Choice:

So until one is willing to submit to God, seeking His truths, they're more than likely, included with the deceived. How does anyone discover they are deceived unless they are given truth through the anointing of Christ. Apart from the anointing of Christ, deception is not realized. One has to give this some serious thought here. So without divine truth, one will remain in their state of deception, and never know it. I believe this is the number one contributor for so many differing opinions that seem to be right to those that place their trust in them. Clearly, this is a condition of the heart thing. Any belief that one holds and considers that belief to be true, are they going to be open to another view. Not likely, for in their heart, they are already right and see no need for change. Can the Holy Spirit work in this condition. I say no! Think about this, can a teacher teach a know-it-all student? Of coarse not! Then don't expect the Holy Spirit of God to try to teach to a deaf heart, God knows better!. This is why there are so many controversial and differing doctrinal beliefs.

1 Cor 14:30-31 (NKJV) But if anything is revealed to another who sits by, let the first keep silent. For you can all prophesy one by one, that all may learn and all may be encouraged.
